Some cars come and go, but others find a way of sticking around. This week, we have Stephen’s 2005 STI—a car that was meant to be a short fling but turned into a long-term love affair.

Still Scratching the Itch – My 2005 STI

Back in 2010, I bought this STI to scratch an itch. The plan? Enjoy it for a year, then move on to something more sensible. Fast forward 15 years, and I’m still behind the wheel.

The car remains mostly standard, staying true to its roots. The only modifications so far are BC coilovers, a Blitz Nurspec exhaust, and a few subtle cosmetic tweaks. No tuning, no remap—yet.

One constant in this journey has been Richard. He’s been involved since 2014 and is my go-to guy for anything Subaru-related. If you know, you know—he’s one of the best.
